    National school lunch program was created in 1946 (don't have a specific date just a year)

  • Free and Reduced lunch program

    Students could get a free or reduced lunch depending on family income (no specific date just a year)

  • Milk program

    Part of CNA provided needy children with a low price pint of milk (no specific date just a year)

  • Child Nutrition Act of 1966

    This created a 2 year breakfast pilot, to increase funds for the needy children

  • FNS

    The Food and Nutrition Services were established

  • Breakfast Program

    Provides students with a healthy nutritional breakfast either at a free or reduced price. (just a year)

  • National school breakfast week

    SNA did this to raise awareness of the breakfast at school and how important it is for cognitive growth

  • Child Nutrition and WIC Reauthorization Act of 2004

    Regulates school policies and creates a healthy school environment

  • Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act

    President Obama signed this act into law

  • Lets move program

    A program designed to help solving childhood obesity. This can help parents by informing them of healthier eating options and it allowed for schools to just serve the healthier options.
