All remaining prisoners at Auschwitz are liberated by the Soviet army. -
Peter Neilsen died
Peter died because the Nazis found out that he was part of The Resistance for Denmark, so they took him and Peter died. -

In a final attempt to end the war with Japan, America dropped atomic bombs on the Japanese cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. -
