discovery of impure uranium
the first discovery of impure uranium (that was documented) was by a german scientist called heinrich klaproth who discovered this mysterious rock which led to uranium being used for energy purposes and i think this is important because it help lead research to maked uranium a power source -

discovery of pure uranium
thye first time pure uranium was documented was by a french scientist called eugene peligot which helped research into finding out what this material was good for by giving it multiple test. i think this important because it helped research in uranium giving more detail to this mysterious ore -
discovery of radiation in uranium
a scientist named herri becquerel discovered uranium had invisible rays that effected things around it making them die, get cancer or wilt. i think this is an important part in nuclear history because without this research nobody would know the potential of uranium as a power source -
first nuclear fission
in 1942 the scientist enrico fermi supervised the first nuclear fission which shot a neutron into the nucleas of a uranium atom. i think this is important because it showed the immense power of nuclear fission which would give other scientist ideas of the future. -
The atomic bomb
In 1945 two nuclear bombs were dropped on the Japanese cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki they were devastating killing thousands even though the Japanese tried to surrender on multiple occasions -
The biggest nuclear bomb
The tsar bomba was the largest and most devastating bomb ever fired it had the power of 50 megatons of TNT and could have had double that power if they added on more component (in theory) I think this is important because it tells us to be careful with nuclear weapons -
the worst melt down
in 1986 the nuclear power plant in chernobyl, ukraine had a melt down in a routine check causing massive spread of radiation all over europe causing sheep to turn yellow in britain and i think this is important because it showed the danger of nuclear energy snd the risk -
Japanese meltdown
The japenese nuclear power plant in Fukushima was de astatine it caused major radiation the tsunami it the plant taking out all generators so nothing could stop it from powering down I think this is important because it showed we should have more care and preparation for the wordt -

Energy today
Today nuclear energy is known as a risk in many countries including australia ( which exports a lot of uranium) and countries like North Korea and USA use nuclear as a weapon -
How nuclear fission works
Nuclear fission is when a neutron gets shot into a nucleus which causes atoms to split making a lot of energy and that energy heats the water around it turning to steam making a turbine spin which makes the generates go
