    7,000 500 BC

    the first humans arrived in Norway. After the humans settled in they began to farm. Then they started to mine for things they need the first thing was bronze. Afterward, they started to was iron and in some of the ruins it shows that they also used a form of righting.

    1015-1263 BC

    Olaf Haraldson ruled Europe until 1030. Then Harald Hardra ruled until 1066 when he was killed. After he died Haakon IV ruled Norway from 1217-1263.
  • 1319

    1319-1397

    (1319)Norway and Sweeden are united. (1349-50) The Black Sea devastates Norway. (1355) Norway broke up with Sweeden (1397) Norway gets together with Denmark.

  • 1814-1896

    (1814) Denmark is forced to cede Norway to Sweeden. (1816) The Bank of Norway is founded. (1884-1898) The Sweedish king is forced to make concessions with the Norwegian parliament, and all men are given the right to vote.

  • 1900-1940

    (1900) the Norway population reaches 2,240,00. (1905) Norway becomes independent from Sweeden. (1913-15) women are now aloud to vote and they are entroduced to 10 hour days. (1940) THE GERMANS INVADE NOTWAY

    (1945) THE GERMANS SURRENDER! (1949) Norway joins the NATO. (1972-94) Norwegians vote not to do the EU, Norwegians again reject the idea of joining the EU. (2012)The population reaches 5 million.
