Bohr's Birthdate
Niels Henrik David Bohr was a Danish National who was born in Copenhagen, Denmark on 7 October of 1885. He was the 2nd child out of 3 children. -
Multiple B.S Degrees and Remarkable Research Work
After graduating high school, Bohr attended the University of Copenhagen. From 1903 Bohr studied chemistry, mathematics, astronomy and majored in physics under professor Christian Christiansen. -
Gold Medalist
While still a student, Bohr participated on Academy of Science in Copenhagen for a certain specific scientific problem. While working with his father, he published his research in the Transactions of the Royal Society and won the gold medal prize for the event in 1908. -
Period: to
Masters Degree and Doctor of Philosophy
He earned his Masters Degree in Physics in1909 and 2 years after his Doctor of Philosophy in Physics 1911. -
Research in England
In 1911, Bohr went to England and met J.J. Thompson to do some research in cathode rays. However, he failed to impress J.J. Thompson on his research. Later that year, he met Ernest Rutherford to do some research on the atomic structures. -
Bohr's Model
After working with Ernest Rutherford, Bohr started his paper work on atomic structures and he used the idea of Max Plank and Albert Einstein study of energy in quantum physics. He then published his paper works and became the basis for atomic structure. Video: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1StzvGFX4_c]

Nobel Prize
In 1922, Bohr received the Nobel Prize in Physics in recognition of his works and investigation of the structure of atoms and the radiation emanating from them. -
New Studies
Bohr to proposed that the law of conservation of energy should be abandoned in 1929 due to beta decay foundation. Furthermore, the discovery pf neutron provided another explanation in 1932. Bohr immediately created a new studies/theory of compound nucleus in 1936, which explained how neutrons could be captured by the nucleus. -
Death of Bohr
Bohr died in Carlsberg, Copenhagen, Denmark, on 18 November of 1962 after experiencing a stroke. He was cremated, and his ashes were buried in the family land in Copenhagen.
