  • Key Moment: Quantum Mechanics

Niels Bohr changed the way that everyone looked at the structure of an atom. Niels Bohr demonstrated that around each atomic nucleus there were several levels of centric shells. (Loeffler) Instead of the electrons moving around the shell, Niels theorized that the electrons moved between the shells dependent on the energy they received or sent out. This Video shows Niels Bohr's Theory and explains it as well.

  • Helping fellow colleagues

With the Nazis taking over and coming to power, Alof of Niels Bohr's Jewish colleagues lost their jobs. Niels Bohr helped with Jewish Colleagues by securing them some time at Bohr's institute. Afterwards they would be able to get a job somewhere else. (Aaserud)

Was credited with designing the initiator for the bomb. (Aaserud)
