Extrapolation of a disseration.
Bohr expected to extrapolate his dissertation on electrons in metal while working with J. J. Thompson at this time Thompson was no longer interested in the subject.
Bohr, than went to Manchester to study with Ernest Rutherford, to study atomic structure. -
married Margrethe Nørlund
Bohr and Margrethe Nørlund had four living sons, who went on to excel in their chosen fields. -
Bohr's theories appear in magazine.
Three major papers by Bohr appear in "Philosophical Magazine". -

Borh becomes Theoretical Physics director.
After theorizing that atoms orbit. the atom became a subject of quantum physics, and Bohr became the director of the theoretical physics department. -
Nobel Prize
Nobel prize for his work on the structure of atoms. This structure is system taught today, and has only been improved upon by Heisenberg. Uncertainty Principal showed Bohr's model of an electron orbiting the nucleus was wrong, and that you can not know the position of an electron. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tafGL02EUOA -

Nuclear fission discovered.
Bohrs model of atoms led to nuclear fission, once this was reported to America and Europe the Manhattan Project began. He later then urged those in charge to use the bomb as a weapon of peace, and a negotiation tool rather than a weapon of destruction and death.
