Fort donelson
The unioun won this battle but it was a diffult battle. Grant and his troops were able to counter attack to gain upper hand. Almost 1,000 men died and 3,000 more were wounded. In the morning febuary 1861 confederate general ask for a surrender. -
u.s.s monitor v.s c.s.s virginia
none of the unioubn or the confederacy won but it was really difficult. the unioun sent the monitor to fight back and the two iron clad ships met in battle in march 9 1862 off the coast of virginia it was and hard battle nobody won.
