This was formed in 1824 to administrate and manage all federal land that is set aside for the Indians. It happned so that the Indian lands were managed and good relationships are withheld. The impact is formed was that now we can have a compatable realtionship with the natives -
Indian Removal Act
An act that was passed so Andrew Jackson could negoatiate with the southern tribes. It was so he could talk with them to move westward. Overtime the southern Indians were moved westward. They were placed on lands west of the Mississippi. -

Was a gambler. He was the person who held the"dead mans hand" consisting of 2 black ace and two black eights. He was then killed. -

A famous western gambler. Was also a deputy Sheirff. He took a part in the OK Corral gunfight. The result was him killing 3 people. -

Homestead Act
Thousands of acres of the great plains was given away for a 10$ filing fee. Each person was granted 160 acres. It happened to provide ambiton to move westward. What happend was many people fled west and settled on there own land. -

He participated in the Dakotas war. He fought so he could help break into a food reserve and steal the food inside. As a result, the killing of many settlers and causes corruption within. -
Bear Creek Massacre
Took place in present day Idaho. It was where the army attacked the Northern Shoshone Indians. The reason was that american trappers noticed the land was valuable to them. That being, they decided they needed it. -
Cheyynne Uprising
The Indians were fed up with the poor conditions. They left the reservations. The result is they ended up attacking mining camps. -
Sand Creek Massacre
A group of 700 militia men marched and attacked a camp of the Cheyenne Indians. It happened because, they wanted control of the Great Plains. As a result there were a emmense number of fatalities on both sides. -
Fetterman Massacre
80 american woodcutters set out on horseback and foot only to pursue there target only tobe attacked by Indians waiting for them. All 80 were mudered. In result, we now have a monument in remembrance for those 80 men, -
Fort Laramie Treaty
This was when a treaty was signed beween the whites and the Sioux Indians. It was in order to restore peace and humanity between the two. In result, the Sioux resided in the Black Hills on a reservation. -
Completion of the Trans Contenential Railroad
On this day a barrier was broke. Now a six month journey turned into week or so. This was made to provide an easier way of travel for the settlers/ The result created a rush of people moving westward! -
Indian Appropriations Act
It was a series of acts and rules put into order. It was created to limit tribal power. The result was, it ended to right to create treaties for the tribes. -
Camp Grant Massacre of the Apache
It was an attack on the Apache who had already surrendered to the U.S. Army. It happned because, the White needed control. It erupted into a series of other battles and showdowns. -
The Lakota War
A war erupted as gold was discovered on Lakota land, The Cheyyene and Lakota tribes fueded against the Whites. It led to many other confrontations. -
Battle of Little Bighorn
263 of General Custer's troop set out to fight thousnads of Lakota and Cheyenne Indians. It was there last chance to perserve their way of life. The outcome was all of the troops Custer set out were killed. -

Buffalo Bill's Wild West Show was opened up in Omaha Nebraska. Many because were ammused and entertained by the outdoor entertainment. Many people enjoyed this and it sprouted a new genre of entertainment for the people. -

This man finally surrenderd to U.S military troops on this day. He was the last stadning man the U.S needed to capture. This resulted int he end to the Indian and American fueds. -

It was a fight over the Powder River Area. They wanted control over land in western Wyoming. The end result was, the opposition against the U.S. forces sternghened. -
Wounded knee massacre
Over 150 indians were murdered by, U.S government officalas, becuase they were disputing over reservation lands. Protests carried on for 71 days The end result was many people had lost their lives. -

It set aside forested areas. To delay the settlement of the valued land. It proected the valuable land that was once public. -

It was an act that allowed people to make a profit from water. It was now allowing people to erect irigation systems. The result was now farms were able to produce better becasue they could have a goo water supply.
