In 2016, students of Dokuz Eylül University, located in Turkey, created a petition to have a Jedi temple built in the universities campus. The temple was never built as the petition fell short of signatures. -
Charitable Organization application rejection
In December of 2016, the Temple of the Jedi Order was rejected by the Charity Commission for England and Wales to grant them charitable organization status, because the group didn't "promote moral or ethical improvement".
