    In 2007 the Church of Jediism was founded by Daniel Jones in the United Kingdom.
  • Jedi Marriage Concerns

    in 2013 the Free Church of Scotland as concerned that the proposed Marriage and Civil Partnership bill would allow "Star war Jedi" to marry and become married couples.
  • Jedi temple petition

    In 2016, students of Dokuz Eylül University, located in Turkey, created a petition to have a Jedi temple built in the universities campus. The temple was never built as the petition fell short of signatures.
  • Charitable Organization application rejection

    In December of 2016, the Temple of the Jedi Order was rejected by the Charity Commission for England and Wales to grant them charitable organization status, because the group didn't "promote moral or ethical improvement".
