Two years later he was director-general of New Netherlands, and became or took the place as office on July 28,1646. Soon after his "administration" in May on the 27th he organized a council and established a court of justice. His "commerce" had grew, the colony the was able-to trade with Brazil in 1648, with Africa for slaves in 1615, and with other foreign places in 1659.Stuyvesant continued to live on his life in Manhattan Island until his death in 1672. -
