    The X.com company was then renamed PayPal and expanded rapidly in 2001 primarily as a result of its use on eBay
  • Publicity

    In February 2002 PayPal was offered as a publicly traded company.
  • Ebay

    The company was acquired by eBay for $1.5 billion later in 2002
  • Vice President

    In January 2004, Tilenius became the vice president of PayPal merchant services.
  • Competitor

    In the year 2006 Google released PayPal competitor Google checkout.
  • Mobile App

    In 2008 eBay began to negotiation with Google to make PayPal a payment option for mobile application purchases on the Android Market.
  • Resigned

    October 16, 2009 Tilenius resigned as eBay’s vice president.
  • Google

    February 16, 2010 Tilenius was hired by Google as the vice president of electronic commerce.
  • Declined Proposal

    October 2010 Tilenius talked Bedier into talking the President of Google into letting PayPal become an accessible app for Android users. In the end, Google declined his proposal. Google however offered Bedier a job.
  • Bedier leaves Paypal

    In the year 2011 Bedier leaves PayPal for Google after being bribed.
  • Google wallet payment

    In May 2011 Google launches its new google wallet payment. Paypal then creates a lawsuit against Google.
  • Lawsuit

    In December of 2013 Paypal won the lawsuit aaginst Google.
