This act was created by the passage of the Green Acres, Farmland, Historic Prevention, and Blue Acres Bond Act of 1995. The act created 15 million dollars in funds to be split for pre-storm and post-storm expenses. -

Coastal Blue Acres Act
The passage of the The Green Acres, Farmland, Blue Acres, and Historic Preservation Bond Act of 2007 allowed for 12 million dollars in funds to help in aquiring rivers and floodways. -
Coastal Blue Acres Act 2009
Green Acres, Water Supply and Floodplain Protection, and Farmland and Historic Preservation Bond Act of 2009 is an extensions of the act passed in 2007 that gave an additional 24 million dollars to the fund. -
Hurricane Irene
This specific storm was the first storm to make landfall in New Jersey since 1903. It led to historic flooding and damage beyond imagination.
