  • Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC)

    Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC)
    The Conservation corps was created on April 5, 1933. The groups purpose was to provide jobs for single men on conservation projects. IT had put young men aged 18 to 25 to work building roads, develping parks, planting trees, and helping in soil-erosin and flood control projects.It had enden in 1942, with almost 3 million men passed through the CCC.
  • Tennessee River Valley Authority

    Tennessee River Valley Authority
    The Tennessee Valley Authority Act created this. The purposes was to develope the resources of the Tennessee Valley. It had harnessed water power to generate electricity, Prevented disasterous floods, it also established new wildlife refugees. The group is still in commission today.
  • Home Owners Loan Corporation (HOLC)

    Home Owners Loan Corporation (HOLC)
    It was created under the Homw Owners loan Act. The purpose of the program was that it loaned money at low interest to homeowners who could not meet mortgage payments. It beat the Great Depression by trying to prevent foreclosure of peoples homes. The corporation ended in 1935, but did not officially close until 1951
  • The National Recovery Adminstration (NRA)

    The National Recovery Adminstration (NRA)
    The Adminstration was created under the National Industrial Recovery Act. The purpose of the Administration was that it established codes for fair competition. It was to promote a recovery by interrupting the trend of wage cuts, falling prices, and layoffs. This was dissolved in 1935.
  • The Securities and Exchange Commission (Sec)

    The Securities and Exchange Commission (Sec)
    The Securities and Exchange Commission was created in June of 1934 by the Federal Securities Act of 1933. The purpose of the group was to Supervise the Stock Market and eliminate dishonest practices. This helped during the Great Depression by preventing people with inside information about companies from "rigging" the stock market for their own profit. The Commision is still in use today.
  • National Youth Administration (NYA)

    National Youth Administration (NYA)
    The National Youth Administration had been vreated in 1935 as part of the Works Progress Aministration. It had provided job training for unemployed young people and partime jobs for needy students.This had provided student aid to high school, college, and graduate students, in exchange students worked part time positions in their school. Provided jobs outside of the school as well. The group was dissolved in 1943.
  • Social Security Administration

    Social Security Administration
    This was created by the Social Security Act of 1935. The purpose of this was to provide a pension for retired workers and their spouses and aided people with disabilities. It helped by making federal funds for families with dependent children, the umployment system was funded by a federal tax on employers, and it also helped workers who were retired. The Administration is still in commission today.
  • Rural Electification Adminstration

    Rural Electification Adminstration
    The Rural Electrification Act created this group. The purpose of this group was to provide afforadable electricity for isolated rural areas. By 1945 48% of American farms had electricity and rose to 90% by 1945. This program is still in commission today.
  • United States Housing Authority (USHA)

    United States Housing Authority (USHA)
    This was created by the housing authority of 1937. The purpose of this program was to provide loans for low-cut federal housing. It beat the Great Depression by helping people get out of being in debt.This was dissolved in 1947
  • Fair Labor Standards Act

    Fair Labor Standards Act
    It was created in 1938. The purpose of this was to establish a minimum hourly wage and a maximum nummber of hours in the workweek for the entire country. Set rules for the employment of workers under 16 and banned hazardous factory work for those under 18. It beat the Great Depression by banning child labor and giving workers the right to organize and to bargain collectivelly with employers. This is still in commission.
