    Agricultural Adjustment Act
    This act made it a law that farmers got paid to not plant as many crops and kill off their livestock. This led to the decrease of the surplus of food and it brought more value to the crops. The Supreme Court said that it was unconstitutional, this lead it to be rewritten.
  • Federal Emergancy Relief Act

    Federal Emergancy Relief Act
    Federal Emergancy Relief Act was funded with $500 million dollars to provide to the people of need. Half of the money was given directly to the state. This gave moeny to the aged and ill. Also to people who needs clothes and food. This ended after two years, but was replaced with Works Progress Administration (WPA).
  • National Recovery Adiministration

    National Recovery Adiministration
    The law that was created to help start NRA was the National Industrial Recovery Act. Its main purpose was to get rid of competition by getting government, idustry, and labor to work together. After almost two years of being active, the Supreme Court unanimously declared it unconstitutional.
  • Civil Works Administration

    This act created millions of manual jobs for the million of the unempolyed workers.The average worker got paid about $1.20 per hour. The jobs provided were only temporary for the winter of 1933. This act end in March 1934 due to the lack of funds given to it.
  • Federal Housing Administration

    This act made sure that construction was set to a certain standard and insured loans that were made by banks. Also helped people get loans to buy a house. This act is still used today and is still helping people buy homes.
  • Rural Electrification Administration

    Rural Electrification Administration
    In the 1930's only 11% of U.S. farms had electricity. This act was cretaed independent federal bureau. This provide farms with inexpensive electric lighting and power. By the 1970's nearly 97% of farms had electricity.This act eventually changed to the Rural Utilities Service.

    Social Security Administration
    This act established welfare for the old-aged and giving them federal beneifts. This act also made sure that insurance and money were given to people needed help making a healthy amout of money. Some examples of people who could get covered; aged persons, blind persons, and families with dependent children.

    United States Housing Authority
    The USHA was cretaed in a federal agency, United States Department of the Interior by the Housing Act. This act was created to loan money to states or have a low-cost construction for communtities.

    Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act
    This act was set to look over the safety of food, drugs, and cosmetics. These set of laws amde sure there were controls over drugs and food. It also included new consumer protection against unlawful cosmetics and medical devices. This act is still in use today.
  • Fair Labor Standards Act

    Fair Labor Standards Act
    This act elstablish minimum wage, overtime, and set child labor laws. This act put a limit of working hours an employer could put on their employee. It also made the businesses responsible to pay any person who puts in overtime extra pay.With some changes, this is still in use today.
