In 1945 the Brooklyn Dodgers recruited Jackie Robinson who became the first African-American to be on a Mayjor League Roster

In 1946 Jackie Robinson went to play with the whites for the Montreal Royals a farm team for the Brooklyn Dodgers. This was bad for the team that he left because he left after the Negro League started to get better.
