Bacon’s Rebellion
Bacon’s Rebellion was a fight between two stubborn and selfish leaders who were opposites to say the least. One was Governor Sir William Berkeley who was a veteran of the English Civil War. He wrote plays, he was a scholar, and he was actually the King's favorite when he ran for governor in the 1640's. He was a well respected man. The other who was Nathaniel Bacon, Jr. who ironically was related to Berkely not by blood but by marriage. -
