    The Indian Removal Act was signed by President Andrew Jackson. The Indian Removal Act forced Indian tribes to move west of the Mississippi River, this forced relocation resulted in the Trail of Tears.

    The Trail of Tears
    The Trail of Tears is what the relocation of Indigenous people, mostly the Cherokee Nation during the 1830's. Other tribes along with the Cherokee were forced to relocate from the east, to the west in harsh conditions: the tribes had very little food,clothes, and were exposed to harsh weather and disease.

    The Oklahoma Land Rush was an event where thousands of people rushed to the unclaimed lands of former Indian Territory because it was cheap. The Land Rush sped up the downfall of the Indian territory.
