The Utes were the biggest problem that the early settlers faced. They drove away settlers who arrived in 1850. -

The Hispanic Farmers came back in 1852 and laid out the town of San Luis. -

The Hispanics got to Colorado and dropped on their knees and thanked Saint Joseph for making their trip safe. -
