A Nazi conference to plan the "final solution". This conference marked a turning point for the Nazis towards the Jews. -

A battle fought almost entirley with aircrafts. -
D-Day
Allied forces stormed onto the beaches of Normandy, France which helped liberated France. Fun fact: my great grandpa was apart of D-Day and he took apart Nazi rifles and sent them home. We now have them in our computer room. There are six. -
Yalta Conference
Major WWII conference involving the three cheif Allies. There they planned a final defeat and occupation of Germany. -
Iwo Jima
An island off the coast of Japan where U.S troops invaded in the last phases of WWII. The island was important because, if successfully invaded, could be a base for U.S fighter planes. They were successful. -
Hitler's suicide
In his bunker under Berlin, Hitler swallowed a cyanide capsule and shoots himself in the head. -

The day in history that marked the allies winning WWII -
Potsdam Conference
An Allied conference held in Berlin with the US, Britain, and Soviet Union. This conference discussed peace settlements. -
Atomic Bomb
A bomb dropped on Nagasaki and Hiroshima in Japan. It was dropped by the United States and it ultimatley ended WWII when it cause Japan to surrender. -

North Atlantic Treaty Organization was established at the end of the Cold War .It is a militry alliance based off of the treaty signed the same day the organization was established. -

A war between North and South Korea in which 2.5 million people lost their lives. China sided with North Korea while the United Nations, with U.S mainly, sided with South Korea. -
