    The storming of the Bastille was an important event for the French Revolution because it helped many people join the cause and it is how the revoultionaries got weapons. However, Napoleon was not a part of the Storming of the Bastille.

    Napoleon's only son, Napoleon ll, was born in 1811. This date is very important because it shows that Napoleon wanted to continue his family legacy, and put his son on the throne one day.

    Napoleon was exiled to a nearby Mediterranean island called Elba because of his defeat at the battle of Leipzig in October 1813. This changed everything because he was forced to give up his throne.
  • Napoleon escapes from Elba

    After he was banished, Napoleon spent his time on the island oganizing a small navy, working in the mines and doing other little small things, all while keeping his eye on France. Then the current rulers decided to move him farther away, but Napoleon got back to France and was back in control by March.
  • Napoleon defeated at waterloo

    This battle took place in Belgium, and was significantly Napoleon's final defeat. He was defeated by Britian and Prussia, and his reign had come to an end. This battle is significant because it makes the end of Napoleon's reign as emperor.

    Arriving at his second exlie, Napoleon leaves behind his empire for the second time after his defeat at the Battle of Waterloo. His leads up to his death.
