Treaty of Paris
The seven years war ended with a contract signed by King George the III of Great Britain and representatives of the 13 colonies. on September 3, 1783, this treaty ended the French and Indian war. In the contract, France had to give up their territory in North America. -

The Boston Massacre
A squad of British soldiers,come to support a sentry who was being pressed by a heckling, snowballing British troops, let loose a volley of shots. Thomas Preston was arrested for manslaughter, along with eight of his men that all were all acquitted. -

In March 1772, the Virginia house of Burgess proposed that each colonial legislature appoint a standing committee for intercontinental correspondence. The Committees of Correspondence was formed to manage the "tea crisis." -
Tea Act
The Tea Act passed by parliament on May 10, 1773, this act would launch the final spark to the revolutionary movement in Boston. The act was not intended to raise revenue in the American colonies ,and in fact imposed no new taxes. British Parliament granted the British East India Company Tea a monopoly on tea sales in the American colonies. -

On the night of December 16, 1773, Samuel Adams and the sons of liberty boarded three British ships loaded with tea, in the Boston harbor and threw 342 chests of tea overboard. -

The Intolerable Acts was the term used by American Patriots for a series of punitive laws passed by the British parliament in which British soldiers would punish those involved in the Boston Tea Party. -

This act made a lot of colonists furious because the Quartering Act required English colonists to house British soldiers for barracks provided by the colonies. -

General George Washington, commanding a force of 17,000 french and continental troops, began the siege known as the Battle of Yorktown against the British General Lord Charles Cornwallis attacking with 9,000. It was one of the most important battles of the American Revolutionary War. -
