TROY
Odysseus started in Troy. He went here and went in command for the war against the Trojans. He was the one with the idea of the Trojan horse, and that is how they won the Trojan war. The Trojan horse was a giant wooden horse and it was filled with greek warriors. They used it as a pretend gift and when the Trojans took it they got attacked. On the bad side since Odysseus didn’t worship the gods enough and poseidon started to not like Odysseus. -

ISLAND OF THE CICONES
Odysseus landed here after he won the Trojan war and told his army to loot the place but only take what they needed. His men were greedy and didn’t do what he told them. They took what they wanted and then when they were drunk, an army of Cicones came and they lost six benches of men on each ship. -

ISLAND OF THE LOTUS EATERS
The Lotus eaters are plants and if you eat them all you care about is eating them. Odysseus landed on an island of them after he left the island of the Cicones. He sent two men in to investigate and when they didn’t come back he went in and found them eating the deadly plant. He took them away and left the island. -

ISLAND OF THE CYCLOPES
Odysseus and his men are very hungry so they stop at an island populated with Cyclopes for food. They find a cave that has cheese and wine in it and they start to eat. Then a giant Cyclops enters the cave(Polyphemus). The giant beast eats two of Odysseus’s men.
Then Odysseus tells Polyphemus that his name is nobody and when the giant is asleep Odysseus blinds the Cyclops. Then Polyphemus shouted “Nobody blinded me!” But then nobody came to help him. Then they got out of the cave and escaped. -

AEOLIA
They next land on Aeolia and meet Aeolus. He puts the bad winds in a bag and then they almost reach Ithaca. When they see Ithaca they open the bag and then they get blasted back to Aeolia. After that, Aeolus didn’t help them. -

ISLAND OF THE LAESTRAGONIANS
They landed here and fought the cannibals. After they left with one ship of men. -

AEAEA
After the cannibals, they landed here. Odysseus sent some of his men out and when they didn't return, he goes out himself. He then finds Hermes who tells him to eat Moly. Then when he eats it he becomes immune to Circe's spells and he leaves some men fr info on how to get home. -

HADES
They find Tiresias in the underworld and they are told to go to Scylla and Charybdis. -

THE SIRENS
Odysseus wants to hear the sirens because they tell the future. He gets tied up to the mass of the ship because of this. -

SCYLLA AND CHARYBDIS
They don't want to get two close by the whirlpool and when they go by the cliff Scylla eats 6 of his men. -

THRINACIA
They aren't supposed to eat Helios's cattle but they do because they stayed there for a month. Zeus punishes them with a storm only Odysseus escapes. -

OGYGIA
Odysseus is washed up on Ogygia and Calypso loves him so he stays there and then he is freed and goes to Phaeacia. -

PHAEACIA
Odysseus goes here on his way home and then has Athena help him go through the harassing Phaeacians. -

ITHACA
Odysseus finally goes back home and then gets disguised a beggar. Then he goes too his son and with his help, Odysseus reclaims his title as king.
