None of that stopped her from spreading awareness. She was constantly mistreated by the police but she continued to share her story regardless.

    He was a civil rights leader with the Southern Nonviolent Coordinating Committee. He helped lead a Freedom Ride to protest against segregation in the South. He was also part of the March on Washington and the Selma to Montgomery Marches.

    This march was known as Bloody Sunday because of the violent beating caused by state troopers. This march was led by John Lewis. The police violence was recorded and then broadcasted across the nation, it infuriated citizens all over and more and more people joined in the civil rights protests.
