My Timeline 2018

  • One of my Bestfriends

    One of my Bestfriends
I'm not exatly sure of the exact date that we met, but all I remember is we met in 3rd grade in Mrs. Sloan. We've been together ever since. Though we've, of course, had our ups and downs, we've always come around at some point. I asked her to be in my court of honor and she asked me to be in her court of honor. We always got each others backs no matter what. This year we became seniors and I'm more than happy to share my last year of high school with one of my bestfriends, Elvira. Thank you.
  • Met My Other Bestfriend

    Met My Other Bestfriend
4th Grade I have English after homeroom. Mrs. Barrett is the English teacher. I see a girl, alone. I'm alone too. I sat next to her and she spoke to me in spanish. I speak spanish too. Throughout the school year, we would always be with each other. Their were many moments where we wouldn't talk to each other, but I can't go a day without talking to her. Who knew I would have two long time bestfriends! I'm very much excited to create more memories and to pass through our obstacles, together.
  • First Pet

    First Pet
I've always wanted a pet, a dog, a cat or even a fish. I finally got my own cat at the age of 13, my mom got me a cat! She told me that it was going to be a big responsibility that I need to take care of. I didn't know how though. The thought of having an animal to look after was a bit too much for a 13 year-old. I managed to ask Vanessa how, since she has one. Now, it's been 4 years since I've had him. Handsome.
  • NYC on Christmas Eve

    NYC on Christmas Eve
Every Christmas Eve and/or Day, it never it goes as planned. When I was younger I would usually get presents, but now that I'm older, its different. My parents had the idea to go to Queens and walk around and do something different for a change. At first, we went to go eat dinner at a restraunt then go home but I had other ideas. I asked if we could go to the city, to my surprise, my parents said yes! Imagine, 11 at night in NYC, got my sweater on and my gloves on,
  • First Broken Heart

    First Broken Heart
My second cat, Rascal, died on March 17, 2018. I've never had a close friend or a family member pass away before, this would be my first. We got Rascal 6 days before my quinceanera. I still remember walking into the Veterniary Office and carrying Rascal into the room where they would announce that he has in infection throughout his body. Shocked. Frozen. Lost. I didn't know what to do. My family decided it was best to make the pain stop. It wasn't a decision I wanted, but needed. Rest Easy...
  • Sweet 15 (Quinceanera)

    Sweet 15 (Quinceanera)
I never wanted a big party. I didn't think I would have any friends to have invited. I thought no one would go. Suprisingly, it was the best day ever. Both of my brothers were in my court of honor, I'm suprised they agreed to do it. I remember practices for my grand entrance and my suprise dance. I remember being so stressful and so frustrated with the choregraphy and my entrance and my speech. I'm very thankful for those who came to my quince and helped me with everything. I appreciate it.
  • First Family Dinner

    First Family Dinner
Thanksgiving. Today, I thought it was going to be like any other ordinary day. Up until later in the afternoon my mom comes home with grocery bags. She gets right to work. I helped made the pie. I helped set up the table. It's actually happening. I get to sit down with my family and have a grand meal with them. It felt odd not because of the food or the family, but because I felt happy for the first time in a long time. In the end, we all said what were thankful for
  • First Job

    First Job
It was hard. Hard because when your known to be very quiet and very shy, it can be difficult to ask for an application. My first day went nothing like I thought I would go. I thought it would be really difficult to remember everything. Of course I make mistakes, I still do. But somethings aren't always going to go well. I quit this summer of 2018. I needed time off to think. I think too much, so I went back on September 6th. It feels good to be back or to be able to get money again.
  • First Graduation Ceremony

    First Graduation Ceremony
Too early to get ready on a Saturday Morning. At 8 I'm ready to see my senior friends take their diplomas. I went with my other bestfriend, Vanessa, we went inside together and we sat all the way in the back of the bleachers so we could get an overview of the ceremony. That song that every graduation ceremony plays, went off and there they were. Walking in with their caps and gowns. In my mind, I imagined what it would feel like walking in with my cap and gown. I'm nervous but excited. 2019
  • First Time Outside of the US

First Time Outside of the US
My first plane ride, first turbulance, first time in Guatemala and I loved it. I went there for two weeks only. I wish I could of stayed longer but I had to come back soon because I scheduled my permit test on the 15th of August. I've visted so many of my family members and many towns and cities. I never would've imagined going to the place where my mom and dad grew up from. I can still smell the air, taste the water and see the beautiful mountains create a scenary that I would never forget.
  • First Anxiety Attack

    First Anxiety Attack
I woke up sweating. Sweaty palms, chest pain and I coud barely breathe. Everyday in Guatemala, I would need to meet certain people and be respectful and be nice and always smile. When meeting new people, I get anxious and nervous. I don't know what to say, to do, to act. At this point I'm stressing out too much, I start to cry and cry and cry. I felt the weight of the world crush me into a thousand tiny pieces. It was time to meet my mom's sister, I don't know if I can meet her. I didn't...
