The first smart phone was released in 1992, but they started being used frequently by the public in the mid 2000s. Smartphones have almost phased out the need for other technology such as MP3 players and E-Readers. -
Video Technology
VCR Tapes evolved into DVDs in 1997 and slowly morphed into more sophisticated digital files. Now there is no need for even thin disk and players when all the movies can be stored on smart TVs or retrieved on the internet. -
Going Paperless
Bookshelves full of books are no longer needed. Easy Music on the Go
The Ipod Shuffle was released, allowing for more music to be stored and enjoyed on the go. The small design was easy to transport.
