First Remote Control Television!
Our family upgraded to a remote television. I was no longer required to change the channels for my dad! Sweet freedom! I could not stand sitting next to the TV turning the knob for what seemed like an eternity (for a kid). Image from Wikipedia. -
First Computer Class

Walkman
I recieved my first Walkman Cassette player as a gift. I took it everywhere. I used it so much, it began eating my cassettes. I used a pencil to wind the tape back up. It was the first time I was able to take music with me. Our car didn't even have a cassette player. Image from Wikipedia. -
Dishwasher
This was a significant event in my life. No longer would I need to wash dishes by hand. -
Car Phone

Floppy Discs
I saved all of my pictures and data on floppy discs for safe keeping. I watched as the disks went from big and flimsy to smaller and sturdier and then, evetually, extinct. Image from Wikipedia. -
