Melody is born with cerebral palsy that prevents her from talking, or moving. She is actually very smart but gets assigned to a special needs class because of her disability to talk. With the help of her neighbor she participates in contests and proves to her classmates that she is smart. I liked this book because the problem the character had was very interesting and suspenseful. -

In novel The Outsiders there are two rival gangs the socs that . are upper class and the greasers that are lower class. After Ponyboy and Johnny of the greaser gang kill a soc for protection they are forced to go into hiding. Thomas arrives at a glade with other teenager boys known as gladers. The gladers have been trying for years to find a way to escape through the maze without getting attacked by grievers. Thomas tries to help the gladers escape by becoming a runner. I liked this book because i was curious about why the gladers were trapped in a maze without memories. It was well written and very interesting -
#3 Workshop Novel/People of Sparks
After Lina and Doon save the City of Ember they find a group of people called the sparks. The People of Ember starts to become unhappy with the people of Sparks as they start mistreating them which causes a revolt. I did not like this book because the events were slow and not interesting. The resolution to the problem was fast and confusing. -
How did i grow over the year
This year i read more novels than last year and started to like reading. I learned more vocabulary this year and became a faster reader. Some goals i have next year is to read more and increase my knowledge of vocab words
