Dick and Jane
I started reading with Dick and Jane books, I loved the series. -
McElligot's Pool
My maiden name is McElligott, my father brought me this book and it was the first time, other than family, that I had seen it, and now it was on a book, een though the spelling is short a "t". It became my favorite book. -
Happy Hollister Series
This is the first series of books that I got hooked on reading with. I couldn't read them fast enough. -
Little Women
My grandmother gave me the first book in the series, I enjoyed going back in time and following the sisters lives. -
Jane Eyr
A required reading for school that I actually liked. -
Corduroy
This book was my oldest son's favorite book. I ended up reading it almost every night to him. It still gives me a smile when I remember the first child, my own, loving it. -
Goodnight Moon
This book is a book that I read to my second child, a book I learned to tell without looking at the words. -
The Hungry Cattepillar
Another book memory, reading to my third child. He and I both learned to love all Eric Carle books. -
The Lonely Firefly
Yes, another one of my own children's favorites. My twins loved Eric Carle books but especially The Lonely Firelfly. -
Boobs
A book given to me at the end of my Breast Cancer treatments. I have to admit it took me awhile to read it, I was so afraid of a relapse. When I was finally ready to read it it definitely helped with my mental healing process. -
The Wonderful Things You Will Be
A book that I gave to my first grandchild when he was born. I read it to him every time I saw him, he still asks me to read it to him occasionally.
