To this day, I still have the little Sesame Street picture books with Elmo and his friends. I loved Elmo when I was a baby and my parents introduced me to the life of 🌟reading🌟

As I get older, I start to have a passion for picture books (in which I still do now) and I start to read more books from TV shows like the Backyardigans, Dora, Curious George, Clifford, and more. I believe I was also in pre-school and started to learn how to draw and write.

I'm in 1st grade at Our Lady of Victory. I remember that we had our own reading time where we could sit in the bean bags and read with friends. I remember reading books like Pinkalicious, those Rainbow Magic fairy books, Dr. Seuss, and more. Writing has gotten better, a little sloppy, but better :]

    1. I'm in 2nd-3rd grade. I learned how to write in cursive and was one of the few that were pretty good at it. Reading has gotten stronger. I was very interested in those National Geographic books. I was probably starting to read a series called Geronimo Stilton too. I still have some of the books but rarely read them anymore.

Between 4th-5th grade. I believe I read my first 300+ page book called The One and Only Ivan. I honestly forgot what it was about, but I do remember enjoying it and reading it another time. For writing, I had to start writing some paragraphs about books we've read. However, my reading comprehension was very bad, and I was throwing ideas here and there with no order or structure.

Unfortunately, this was my last year at Our Lady of Victory due to my school going bankrupt. It was very emotional. We went to the library, and we were allowed to take any books we want. I got some of my favorite animal books in which I still have in my closet today. Later that year, I went to Bailey. I was introduced to an author named Alan Gratz. To this day, he is one of my favorite authors. The first book I've read by him was called Projekt 1065 which was about D-Day in WWII.

8th grade is ending, and freshman year is starting soon. At Bailey, I read another series called Magnus Chase. My friend introduced me to it because it about Norse Mythology and I like it because of the Thor movies. I've also gotten better at writing essays and using ICE/CER.

Currently a junior in high school and I finished my sophomore year a couple months ago. I've read more novels and fiction books. Maybe books with a little bit of everything. The very last book I read was Papi: My Story by David Ortiz, a former Red Sox player. The book has everything about his life from how he started and until his retirement. Writing more essays as per usual.
