    Conquest Of Paradise
    This event is when Columbus first found new land and named is San Salvador.
    Columbus found land, and met the native people that were living on it . In modern day, lots of people now live on the island, and it is now known has The Bahamas .

    I rated the movie a 4 out of because it was actually entertaining, and was interesting learning about what Columbus went through to find the land, but half of the movie I couldnt see.

    The Adventures of Bill and Ted
    The event that I chose is when bill and ted first found Napoleon in Austria. Napoleon was going to war Austria between May 18, 1803 and November 20, 1815. Napoleon was in Austria at that same time Bill and Ted found him.

    I think it was cool how Bill and Ted went back in time and found all of these historical people .

    12 Years a Slave
    The event that I chose was when Solomon Northup was drugged and kidnapped by the white men that he was eating with. Solomon was kidnapped in 1841, and was freed in the year 1853. The connection that I made was that this situation that Solomon was put through what is now called kidnapping/sextrafficing.
    RATING :⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐
    I give this movie a 5/5 because it was showing what most slaves have went through in their timeline.

    The event that I chose was when slavery was abolished.
    There was 65 votes that opposed to the abolish of slavery, and there was 23 votes against it.

    I rated the movie a 4 out 5. It was kind of boring in the beginning but it got better towards the end.

    The event that I chose was when Sam Krichinsky first came the states, and settled in Baltimore.
    My connection to this movie is that most people would go to a park or sit somewhere and watch the fireworks on the 4th of July.

    I rated the movie a 5 out of 5 because it was actually interesting watching them build their company, and make lots of profit. I also like how it had a different ending from most movies, and is actually realistic instead of always a happy ending.

    This event is when they used carrier pigeons to send messages when radio use was impossible.

    In modern day, people now use cell phones to call and send texts, instead of writing letters or sending carrier pigeons .

    I rated the movie a 4 out of 5 because in some parts of the movie I didnt understand much, but during most of the movie it was interesting to see what everyone had to go through during ww1 .

    This event is when the joad family was forced and had to leave their home.
    Due to the great depression and the dust bowl, many lost their jobs and have no other choice but to leave their homes and look for work.

    I rated the movie a 5 out of 5 because it showed what the family went through during the Dust Bowl era, it also showed the struggles that they went through at different camps.

    In the movie Red Tails, these black men fought in World War ll with the Air Forces. The Red Tails were the first African American soldiers to be sent to war. In the modern day, there are lots of African Americans fighting in wars around the world.

    I rate the film a 5/5 because t taught me the story of how African Americans fought for what they wanted, and how they made a difference.

    The event that I chose where they did the march from Selma to Montgomery. Due to Jackson's death they did the march from Selma to Montgomery in March. In modern day, this march has changed history.

    I rated this a 5/5 because you documents the history of the 60's, and also shows how the blacks were treated from the whites.

  • Rescue Dawn

    Rescue Dawn
    In Rescue Dawn Dieter Dengler was shot down and captured by their enemy. Dieter was shot down in the Vietnam war, where he was tortured and starved. In this movie we learn about what the real Dieter Dengler went through during his captivity. We also learn about his courage to never give up, and his plan to make it out of the prison alive.
    RATING: ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐

    I rate the movie a 4/5 because it wasn't my type of movie. t also felt like they were just adding things in the movie to fill space at times
