    Job
it is my first day of work. I am working on the Transcontinental Railroad. Talking to the other chinese immigrants, they have similar lives like me. Even though working on this railroad is dangerous, I still like it. It keeps me moving and it supports me.
  • Chinese Exclusion Act

    Chinese Exclusion Act
The Chinese Exclusion Act was approved on May 6, 1882. Very few Chinese could enter the country under that law. I am lucky and glad I came here before the law was approved. If I wanted to leave the country, I would need a certificate to re-enter.
