Reading to my older sister
I always had a lot of picture books for kids, and my sister and I would read them together before I went to bed. The pictures and music made reading fun. -
My first favorite book
The Rainbow Fish was my first favorite book. I loved this book so much. Because of this book, I would always attend the book fairs at my elementary school to find other books just like it. -
The Library
I used to love going to the library and using my card and checking out different fun books for elementary school. -
Book Fairs
When my Elementary school would have a book fair, I was always so excited. Not only for the cool pens and fun erasers, but the great books I would buy as well. -
My first novel
My first novel I read on my own was in 5th grade. We got to choose any novel and then write a summary on it. I chose, "The Junkyard Dog" I will never forget this book, because I cried my eyes out! It was so sad. -
1999
This is when I started getting into novel series and reading, The Goosebumps was my favorite. They were fun and exciting. -
Middle School Readings
In middle school, I read my first and last Harry Potter book. I was not a fan and it was hard for me to get into. -
Magazines
As a Teen, I started getting into magazines and reading them at home, which helped my reading skills grow. -
High School
In High School, I made sure I read every Nicholas Sparks book that came out. His novels will always be my favorite -
Present Reading
Today I enjoy reading anything that catches my attention. Now with the technology of owning a Kindle. I am able to scroll through the internet and click on a book and it will immediately be downloaded in my kindle to start reading.
