    Club Penguin: Elite Penguin Force
This game is one of my favourites to this day. It was really engaging as a kid because of the puzzles like code-breaking and minigames, and I honestly still play is sometimes. Nintendo & Disney 2008, ‘Club Penguin: Elite Penguin Force’ Cover, Wikipedia, viewed 1 March 2023.
  • Scribblenauts

    Scribblenauts
This wasn't really a childhood favourite, but I always found myself playing it because it was so challenging and made me try harder to think outside the box to solve the levels. This might have been part of what helped me excel in primary school English classes.

  • Rayman Legends

    Rayman Legends
I didn't get to play this as much as I liked because our WiiU was shared between siblings, but I loved the platforming, sometimes time-based gaming, and I really enjoyed the bubbly, colourful aesthetic.

  • Luigi's Mansion 2

    Luigi's Mansion 2
This was my first Nintendo 3DS game, and was definitely a step up in visuals and overall quality from my childhood DS games. I found it (especially the boss levels) really challenging, but I liked the vacuum cleaner, or "Poltergust 5000" and the flashlight and vacuum upgrade system.

    Mirror's Edge: Catalyst
I loved (and still love) this game; the first-person experience of parkouring through a sleek, futuristic city can't be beat. One of my favourite featues was, when running uninterupted for long enough, you would enter 'flow' and your field of vision would become smaller and you would speed up. That was one of the features that made it especially immersive to me.

  • Genshin Impact

    Genshin Impact
After seeing this game all over social media and liking the visuals and overall gameplay, I installed the mobile app. I have wanted for years to be able to play games like this on a touchscreen, but most similar games I've tried to play feel awkward to control and overall like they're meant to be played on a PC or console.
