Start of my journey of games -
Pokemon Ruby
One of the first games I remember playing. I played through the game with my older brother, playing on the same save file and talking with each other on what pokemon we caught and how far we got. I don't think we ever finished the game back then, but I still had tons of fun with it.

Super Smash Bros. Brawl
Super Smash Bros. Brawl came out on the Wii in 2008, and its the first game I remember where I actively tried to get better. Competing against my brother to see who would win still remains a fond memory for me to this day.

Age of Empires II
Age of Empires II is the game I always saw my dad play. I remember watching him while he explains what he is doing and how he plans to win. Even when sequels have come out by now, he still only plays this one.

Fire Emblem Awakening
I played Fire Emblem Awakening on the 3DS, and its the first time I actually cared about a story in a video game. While the story is quite generic, the game does really well in making you care about its characters - and thus what happens to them.

Persona 3 Portable
I started playing through Persona 3 Portable after finishing Persona 5 and Persona 4 Golden, and while I liked those games, the themes of Persona 3 hit me a whole lot harder than the other games in the series. I am currently playing through the remake (Persona 3 Reload) and the game's themes still come through to this day.

Among Us
I started Among Us with my highschool friends after moving away for Uni and being in the middle of a pandemic. The simple mechanics at play led way to shining a light onto the social aspects of the game, which allowed even friends that didn't play too many games to have fun and helped me stay connected with them.

Metroid Dread
Before starting Metoid Dread, I had never played a Metroid game before. Yet, when I started I couldn't put it down. Even when I finished the game, I started learning speedrunning techniques and sequence breaks - eventually ending up with a Top 50 time on the speedrun boards at the time.

Persona 3 Reload
A remake of one of my favourite games, Persona 3 Reload just does everything I ever wanted out of a Persona 3 remake. Revisiting the characters and world reminds me how fond I was of the original, and all the improvements made makes this remake such a joy to play through.
