Meet the Convict
This is what started it all for Pip. This is where he first sees the outside world, and the "dark side" of it. Luckily this encounter led to something good. -
Receive the Wealth
This was Pip's "wake-up call," but only in a good way. This allowed him to fulfill his expectations of becoming a gentleman. Life couldn't be better. -
Meet Miss Havisham and Estella
This is where Pip first meets Estella and Miss Havisham. This is his first encounter with the higher class. This is the first stepping-stone to Pip becoming haughty for some time. -
Mrs. Joe Becomes an Invalid
This is Pip's negative "wake-up call." Since his motherly figure is gone, he has no one but Joe now. He has no one to really look after him. -
Mistreat Joe and Biddy
Pip's haughty emotions got the best of him, and he mistreated Joe and Biddy. Pip believes that he is part of the higher class, from his experiences with Miss Havisham and Estella. -
Meet Herbert
This is the first real friend that Pip makes. Friends can go a long way, and real friends like Herbert will help you up in times of hardships. Since Pip developed a strong bond with Herbert, it helped him in the long run. -
Magwitch Reveals His True Identity
Pip now knows who gave him the money: Magwitch, the convict. Since Magwitch was grateful for Pip helping him in the marshes, he sent Pip part of the fortune he made in Australia to give back and repay. What goes around comes around. -
Magwitch Dies
This is Pip's second major death. Since Magwitch dies, he knows that he can take anything life throws at his way. What doesn't kill you makes you stronger... -
Save Miss Havisham
Saving Miss Havisham from the fire shows that Pip developed compassion over his journey. He developed enough compassion to save and forgive an evil lady who tried to ruin men because one man ruined her. -

Me

Going to Japan
This was the first time I ever went to Japan. I found my heritage here; I got to meet my family in Japan, and got to see all the sights, sounds, and smells of Japan. -
Getting an F
This was the first "wake-up call" of my life. It showed me that life won't be easy anymore. -
Starting Baseball
This was when I started one of my favorite sports. I still play it, to this day. It shows how far something you love can continue. Baseball also taught me discipline, physical strength, and physical abilities. -
Breaking My Wrist
This was the second "wake-up call" of my life so far. This was the first time I broke a bone, so this was the first time I felt real pain. It showed that, again, after five or six years, that life still won't be easy. -
Coming to Oxford
This was the third grade school I have ever known, after Westerly Private in Long Beach and Fairmont Private in Anaheim. I made many new friends here, and I am still continuing to develop closer bonds with others. -
Beginning Choir
Like baseball, this is one of the things that continued because I loved it so much. I started real performing in second grade at Fairmont, so when I joined Oxford's choir, it was the same thing, just tougher music. -
Dime Club
This was the time that, out of about 100 campers, only my friend Dylan, an adult chaperone, and I were able to put five .22 rifle rounds in to an area the size of a dime or less. This was the first time I did something different correctly or well. -
First Solo
This was a new experience for me, because I got to stand out as my voice in front of many people. It was a fun experience singing with my friends, and I hope I can do it again. -
Failed Bunt Attempt
This was the first time I really let my friends and teammates down. I was asked to lay down a sacrifice bunt in the sixth inning of a critical game against Crean Lutheran, and I struck out. I was bailed out when Sal drove in a few runs, but I still didn't do my job.
