My English acquisition during life!!!

    I was born in the United States specifically in Brooklyn New York.Here begins my story, how I acquired my English language during life!!

    I was enrolled in P.S. 120-K Elementary School in Brooklyn N.Y.Here I studied from kindergarten unti'll fourth grade. I learned English because the school offered a bilingual program that helped me learn quickly this language.

    My parents decided to move to Puerto Rico when I was in fifth grade. I was enrolled in an Elementary School named Esther Rivera I finished six grade and graduated from there.
  • My neighbour knew English!!!

    When I moved, I realized my neighbour knew English. Therefor I kept practicing with her because in school the level teachers taught was lower than mines due to my non bilingual classmates.This practice kept my English language fluent.

    I coursed seventh to ninth grade in a Jr. High School in Santa Isabel.Here I was part of the English Club, this helped me develop and practice many English skills.

    From 10th to 12th grade I studied also in a public school but this time I was enrolled in the advanced English class. Here I became the official helper of my classmates.

    I went to study to the Interamerican University to become an English teacher. Here I completed many English courses that helped me develop my language proficiency.

    I began to study again in the University, this time to complete a Master Degree. In this stage of my life I kept fortifying my English skills by different ways.
  • Bilingual Teacher!!

    I was hired as a bilingual teacher at the Enrique Huyke Bilingual Public School. Here I teach my kindergarten students in both languages. It is a perfect opportunity to practice my English and share my experience with my school staff.
  • Bilingual Certification!!

    Actually I am completing a bilingual certification. Here I know that I will receive the English acquisition I need to become the best bilingual teacher.
