EVENT: one man basically had a urinary infection and at the end he ended up dying because of it.
FACTCHECK: He really wasn't peeing blood.he never had a urinary infection. CONNECTION: I know a lot of people who die because of infections or certain diseases that are not exactly based on their or your urine, and it may take place in their bodies.
RATING: ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ it's interesting if you really payed attention i didn't like is when the indians started killing Columbus's men, that was disturbing.

Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure.

1805

Rating: i give this movie 3 stars
Purpose: Napoleon is the first person that they met and bring back to the future. He stayed at Ted's house and told his little brother to watch after him, Napoleon passed out on the journey with Bill & Ted to the future.
Fact check: Some songs they used were based off of the events that were taking place at that specific time.
Connection: There was a time i nad to have someone look out for me when my parents were gone.

12 years a slave

1841

EVENT: Solomon was a free man that lived in Saratoga with his family. Two men came up to him with a good offer. They ended up having a fancy dinner. Things changed when Solomon became abducted by the men to become a slave. FACT CHECK: He wrote a book about his experiences, a factual story to Solomon's life as a slave. CONNECTION: The last country to officially abolish slavery was Mauritania in 2007. RATING: I give this movie 5 stars because i enjoyed how factual it was.

Lincoln (2012)

Apr 8, 1864

EVENT: On April 8th, 1864 the abolished 13th amendment was passed by the senate. CONNECTION: The 13th amendment is to end slavery which is something that doesn't exist anymore in the United States. FACT CHECK: In modern day slavery doesn't happen in majority of the States but i know of some that still allow it.
RATING: ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ I like the debate against the 13th amendment, the movie is good but it wasn't as interesting as i thought it was going to be. I would have liked to see more details.

The Lost Battalion

EVENT: On October 5th, the Americans that were fighting in the war got found by an American pilot but he ended up getting shot by an German solider. FACT CHECK: The pilot spotted the Americans but died after he put their location on a map. CONNECTION: In today's world there hasn't been a World War but some country's still fight for what they want by war.
RATING: ⭐ ⭐ i missed the beginning but from what i saw this movie wasn't as good as it would seem but it was nice to experience.

The Grapes of Wrath

1939

EVENT: The entire Joad family went to California for work once they met up with Tom Joad because of the Dust Bowl.
FACT CHECK: In America there were really dust bowls that caused a lot of families to move out of their home town.
CONNECTION: In some parts of America, there are still dust bowls happening.
RATING: ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ This movie was really good even though my favorite character the grandpa dies, but i would watch this movie again.

Red Tails

EVENT: The Red Tails (Americans) were covering land and also fighting with the Germans and Lightning got shot up by a German trying to protect Easy.
FACT CHECK: This is a factual movie so this event did take place in real life.
CONNECTION: Till this day blacks are pilots in the air force and i know some countries that still fight with the Germans.
RATING: ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐I really liked this movie and would most definitely watch it again.

Avalon

EVENT: On thanksgiving day, the Krichinsky family ate on Thanksgiving but cut the turkey with Gabriel so he felt the family failed at lack of respect. FACT CHECK: This is a holiday that is worldwide almost everyone participate in it. CONNECTION: Thanksgiving is obviously a actual holiday where people come together and celebrate and the famous dish on this day is a Turkey.
RATING: ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ This movie was an Ok movie it could have ended better than what it did. I also didn't learn anything from it.

The Butler

EVENT: Cecil was hired as a waiter at the White House in Washington DC.
FACT CHECK: This is a true fact but the waiters name was not Cecil it was Eugene Allen.
CONNECTION: There are butlers in life today but mostly for the wealthy.
RATING: ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ I have seen this movie once before and would definitely watch it again.

Selma

EVENT: Dr. Martin Luther king Jr. and 500 others marched from Selma to Montgomery, Alabama called Bloody Sunday to protest african americans voting.
FACT CHECK: This event really did happen right after jackson got killed by a trooper.
CONNECTION: Till this day people still march to protest certain things they cant have by choice.
RATING: ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ I've watched this movie plenty of times and i really like it and how the hook flows.

Forrest Gump

EVENT: Forrest Gump entered the Vietnam war with his new friend Bubba.
FACT CHECK: All the historical events such as the Vietnam war are true.
CONNECTION: Vietnam is currently not at war with any one but there were times they were at war with different countries.
RATING: ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ I really like this movie even though i've watched it a thousand times, every time i watch it i get an excited feeling.

Rescue Dawn

EVENT: Dieter Dengler got saved by the helicopter of his fellow friends from his mission.

FACT CHECK: This is a true story so this event did take place in the tropical forest as told in the movie.
CONNECTION: People sometimes do lose track of where their going and end up somewhere exotic to the point where they need saving.
RATING: ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ I liked this movie but only end towards the middle and ending. Good movie but not something i'll watch again.
