    I am from a puerto rican father and an american mother. It start it my bilingual development.

    English in Lucia Cubero Elementary School
    In elementary school I learned the basic English every student of a public school in Puerto Rico can learn. I knew words and song but that is it. I liked English a lot at that time.
  • The Moving to Syracuse, New York

    The Moving to Syracuse, New York
    I moved to Syracuse New York and went to T.Aaron Levy Middle School. I start it taking ESL classes, but I was determined to do better, I wanted to learn fast.
  • High school years... The transition

    I was doing so good in school and speaking English so well that I didn't have to take ESL classes anymore. I started to take classes with the regualr students. I considered myself a bilingual person.
  • Moving back to Puerto Rico

    Moving back to Puerto Rico
    I didn't wanted to come back I was accomplishig evrything I want to. Coming back to P.R. was the same as to stop speaking English. Nobody to talk to, nobody to practice with. Just me.
  • English at the University

    Going to the University helped practice a little my English. My presentations on my English courses helped me with my pronunciation.
  • My English as been a teacher

    In this time I can lived a different way of life as a bilingual person. I teach my students what they need to know to survive in this world (bilingual world)

    With this courses Iam taking to get a certified as a bilingual teacher I been force to read more English, write more english and even think in Englis. I like it.
