The Seven-year war took resources that otherwise would be given to the states. It started when Austria tried to get land back or "Property." just as john Locke believed that everyone deserves the right not to have to worry about their property being taken. -

"Town meetings were now also banned, and the authority of the royal governor was increased."(Historyhit) Town meetings being band is against the freedom of speach and increasing the authority of the governer doesn't really balance out the powers. -
