(1920-1930) During this time Jazz, Ragtime and Musicals became very popular. This type of music has an upbeat tempo. This was some of the earliest starts of dance music. -
Rock 'n' Roll
(1950's) Rock ’n’ Roll was on a rise during this time, originally referred to as “Rockabilly” because it was a mix between country music and R&B. The most notable of this time was Elvis Presley. -
British Invasion
During this time British rock and pop bands found their success in the United States. The style of music followed that of the previous era, but many ventured into their own unique styles, such as The Beatles. -
Grunge and Alternative Rock
