    Babur, The first emperor of the mughal empire, was well-known for his oratory and literary skills. He defeated Ibrahim Lodhi in the First Battle of Panipat. He was a prominant military genius. Babur died in 1530 and was buried at Aram Bagh (Agra). Late, his body was taken to Bagh-e-Babun (Kabul)

Even though not counted amongst the greatest Mughal emperors, Humayun ensured that he left behind a rich legacy for his son Akbar. He constructed a citadel at Delhi.

In order to preserve the unity of his empire, Akbar adopted programs that won the loyalty of the non-Muslim populations of his realm. Akbar established a sprawling kingdom through military conquests but is known for his policy of religious tolerance. the Mughal emperor died on 25 October 1605

He was the oldest son of Akbar and was said to be a just ruler, one who personally paid attention to the grievances of his people. The popular Shalimar Bagh in Srinagar was built by Jahangir in order to reproduce the beauty of Kashmir.

    He was the fifth ruler and the son of Jahangir. He is known as one of the successful administrator. Though Shah Jahan was an able administrator and commander, he is best known for the construction of the Taj Mahal, and the construction of other monuments through the landscapes of north india.

    Aurangzeb was the last emperor of the Mughal era, He had distinguished himself as an able administrator. Even as a prince, Aurangzeb was known for his devotion to Muslim religion and observance of Islamic injunctions. During his era a strong government began. He banned music and drinking.
