    During the middle 19th centry, the reform of literature has occured and the kind of reporting which would come to be called "muckraking" began to appear.

    McClure's was published in 1901 and it contained many articles about muckraker. The term muckraker means exposing social ills or scandals. The author of McClure, S. S. McClure refered to the political mochines while raising awareness of poverty, unsafe working, and child labor.
