  • Evacuation

People started evacuating their homes near the volcano but some people refused to leave.
  • Gas and Ash

Small and current ash and gas explosions happened on the volcano. People still refused to leave.
  • Problems with the Mountain

Scientist go and study the mountain and they discover a bulge and it has blockage.
  • Excitement Lessend

Excitement lessened and everyone became uninterested and people weren't scared anymore so they returned back home.
  • Trembling Throughout

During an interview at 5:00pm, the ground begins to tremble and people start to worry again.
  • Geologists

At 3:00pm, a bunch of geologists make the decision to spend the day observing the volcano while being on it.
  • Tourists Observe

Starting at 8:00am, people start lining up to come see the volcano while they don't care anymore of what the danger could cause.
  • Closer and Closer

At 5:30am, a timber company has made a decision to move their company closer to the volcano.
  • The Start

At 8:30am, a category 5.1 earthquake has begun and startles tourists and campers to evacuate.
  • Eruption Time

25 seconds after the earthquake, Mt. St. Helen's starts erupting.
  • Holes

At 8:33am, "holes" on the side of the volcano start ripping open and gas and ashes start coming out.
  • No more Ice Caps

At 8:35am, lava starts spitting out, the ice caps of the mountain cause flooding and send over a million gallons of water flooded the land.
  • Lasting Longer

At 12:00pm, the volcano has erupted and it begins spreading ash 200 miles away.
  • Rescue Begins

At 2:05, helicopter rescuers start searching for survivors and they find multiple people in forests covered in blood and ash.
  • Hospitalized

  • Erupts Again

Mt.St.Helens erupts again but sends the ash 8 miles up instead of 200 miles out.
  • The Beggining

They planted the first tree on the explosive sight. They planted it as a new beginning.
  • National Park

On this day, Mt.St.Helens became a National Park and was open to anybody because scientist predicted that it will not erupt again. If it did, it was going to be a long time from now.
