    references Prohibits any United States citizen from being denied the right to vote based on gender. Before the 19th Amendment was ratified, the Constitution allowed each state to determine whether a woman could participate in elections. Because of this, most states did not allow females to vote.
    This event is important to me because it was the final legal battle in [white, domestically born] women becoming full citizens in the United States.

    References A United States law that’s goal is to ensure accountability and equity as well as excellent in education for children with special needs.
    IDEA has experienced several changes over the decades. While updates are made every five years of so, the latest revisions were made in 2006.
    I chose this law passing as one of my top 20 events because of the addition of Transition Plans (plans for students with special needs past high school) is what influenced me to become an Education Specialist.
