The bus boycott was a seminal event in the civic rights movement. Rosa Parks refused to give up her bus seat to a white person. She then got arrested. She was just trying to make a point on how much raicism there was.

The March on Washington was for jobs and freedom. It took place on August 18th, 1963. About 250,000 people attended. 'I have a dream' speech:

Martin was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize. The Nobel Peace Prize was awarded to him, and he was 35 years old. He was the youngest man to get a Nobel Peace Prize.

Martin was cruelly assasinated by an unknown person. Six years later, Martins mom died by getting shot. His dad died in 1968 of a fatal heart attack. Martin was About to lead another protest march when he was assasinated.
