Robert Borden declares war for Canada
On August 4th, 1914, Canada declared war as a result of Britain declaring war ealier that same day. This is important today because we still have strong ties with Britain, espacilly in the government. This is important to my family because my mom's side is Scottish and they enjoy seeing their home cultures and influences here. When something pops up on the news relating to this I always get to hear a great story from my grandfather. -

I always enjoy my time watching hockey and I treasure those family moments. -

Canadian Troops are coming home from Afganistan
In 2011, Defense minister Peter Mckay announced that all Afghanistan troops are making their way home. Reflection
The Canadian Identity to me is all about being proud that you are Canadian. You have to take pride in the country we live in, especially when you travel and somebody asks you where you are from.
