Campers and workers in the woods heard a mini earthquake. Most people didn't think anything of it workers kept working campers kept camping. -
The discovery
Scientists start to dig deeper in studying the mountain and notice a big bulge. -
evacuate
As the bulge is still growing there is a red zone made where people can go so all the families close to the mountain have to leave. -
People in the Red zone
The bulge has kept growing but nothing major has happened and the people are starting to get mad. They have no right but to let these people into their homes (the red zone) for the night. -
¨For the night¨
All the people that were let back into their homes only for the night, did not leave when orning came. They weren't worried and just wanted to be in their own homes no matter what the officials told them. -
Relocate
Scientists decided to relocate their crew working in the red zone. no one knew exactly why they decided to move but they did. -
8:32am
an earthquake happens and mount saint Helens erupts. northside of the mountains starts to shake. -
Deaths
7 are reported dead and many injured in hospital. this is because of all the ash the eruption is giving off. -
11:34am
The volcano has been erupting for approximately 3 hours. -
another eruption
A week after the big eruption it had another minor eruption. -
National Monument
about 2 years after the major eruption they opened Mount St. Helens National Volcanic Monument.
