This was the part of the German government that issued propaganda and helped Hitler get power. This affected the German people because it manipulated them to elect a leader who was nuts. -
SS is Created
This was Hitler’s elite paramilitary organization that was largely responsible for all of Hitler’s dirty work. This affected the jews and other undesirables because the SS were the ones who gassed the them and hurt them in the concentration camps. -
Hitler Becomes Chancellor
Hitler legally gained power by becoming the CHancellor of Germany.
This affected the entire world because without this happening World War 2 might not have happened. -
Hitler Claims Emergency Powers
A month after he was elected chancellor, he blamed the communists and got basically full control of Germany. This affected the German population because that was the point Hitler was in complete control. -
Boycott on Jewish Stores
There was a nationwide boycott against jewish shops.
The jews in Germany were affected because they couldn’t make lots of money anymore because people were not buying their goods. -
Law for the Prevention of Hereditary Diseases
This was a law that was passed that made started to get rid of people with mental health issues or “feeble-mindedness”.
This affected many people with disabilities and was the first major aggression of the Nazi party against a minority group. -
Law against Dangerous Habitual Criminals
This law made courts able to indefinite imprisonment of habitual criminals. This law allowed courts to discriminate against habitual prisoners. -
Nuremberg Laws
This was a law that made it illegal for Germans to mate with jews, and no woman under 45 could work in a Jewish household.
This affected Jews who were married to Germans because then they wouldn’t be allowed to have kids. -
Nazi's Occupied the Rhineland
This was when Hitler went against Britain and France and put soldiers on the western border of Germany. France/Britain was affected by this because it was openly defiant. They then knew they would have to deal with Germany most likely in war. -

This was the night where all over Germany nazi’s torched synagogues and killed Jews and destroyed Jewish businesses.
This affected the Jews in Germany because now all of a sudden it was really dangerous to be a jew, this was the start of real violence against Jews in Germany. -
St. Louis Ship
This was the ship that saved almost 900 Jewish refugees from Germany. This affected the Jewish people onboard because they would have been sent to the concentration camps if they hadn’t gone on the boat. -
Germany Invades Poland
Hitler invaded Poland with the Nazi army and took over.
The entire world was affected by this because this event officially started world war 2. -
Lodz Ghetto Opens
This was the second largest ghetto in Germany, it was made after the invasion of Poland for the polish jews/gypsies. This affected the Polish Gypsies/jews because instead of living their normal lives they had to live in ghettos. -
Auschwitz Death Camp is Opened
The concentration camp Auschwitz opened and started taking/killing prisoners.
The jews and other undesirables were affected because they were the ones who got killed in the camps. -
Madagascar Plan Introduced
This was a plan presented to the Nazi high council, basically, the plan was to send all the jews and gypsies to the island of Madagascar. This plan ended up not going into effect but it would have affected the jews and gypsies because then they might not have been murdered in such high rates like what happened at the concentration camps. -
The Einsatzgruppen Start Killing
These were the special unit of SS that carried out the mass murder of jews/undesirables. This affected the Roma's/Jews in Poland who got murdered by them. -
Yellow Star for German Jews
This is how the Germans would mark jews in France, they made them all wear a Star of David on their shirt. This affected the Jewish people because they were basically branded and everyone saw how they were ‘inferior’. -
The Commisair Order
This was the order issued by Nazi high command to attack the USSR. This affected the Nazis and the Soviets because so many of each army were killed in the battles that followed operation Barbarossa. -
Babi Yar Massacre
The Germans massacred the Jews in the capital of Ukraine
The 33 thousand Jews that were killed were affected by this because they died. -
Wannase Conference
This was a conference of the Nazi high council where the Final Solution was made. This affected all of the German undesirables because after this was when everything went bad for them. -
Creation of the Zigeunerlager
This was a section of Auschwitz that was designated for the gypsies. This affected the gypsy’s because instead of being in ghetto’s they were starved and gassed in the concentration camps. -
Josef Mengele Arrives at Aushwitz
He was the person who did horrible experiments on people at Auschwitz. This affected the prisoners at Auschwitz because the unlucky ones were tortured by him. -
Himmler Orders Liquidation of Ghettos
Himmler was Hitler’s top generals and on this day he ordered the Ghetto’s full of jews to be liquidated and sent to the concentration camps. This impacted the Jews in the Ghetto’s because instead of living a semi-normal life, they were sent to death/concentration camps. -
Himmler Orders Destruction of Auschwitz
Himmler ordered the destruction of Auschwitz. Some buildings were destroyed but now it’s a living history museum. This affected all of the people who went to the camps because then they got closure because some buildings were destroyed. -
Auschwitz is Liberated
The Russian Red army liberated the prisoners that were left at Auschwitz. There were 7000 people left in the camp so I would assume it affected them the most. -
Hitler Commits Suicide
Hitler shot himself with a pistol in a bunker, as his Berlin was being taken over by the allies.
This affected the Nazi’s the most because their leader died. But it also affected the rest of the world because it was a symbolic end to the war. -
International Military Tribunal
This was the trial of 21 high-level Nazi leaders in Nuremberg Germany. This affected everyone in the world who was affected by ww2. People who wanted closure/justice got it then. The world saw the Nazi high command fall and that is huge. -
Adolf Eichmann Captured
One of Hitler’s main guys were captured in Argentina so they brought him back to Israel to stand trial. The Jews were affected by this because they finally got a little bit of justice for what happened. -
Josef Mengele Dies
Josef Mengele died of a heart attack. This affected the families of the people who were tortured by him because then they didn’t really get closure.
