    In 1519, Montezuma II got an image of himself carved on the hillside at Chapultepec. It is one of the most prized pieces of art from the aztecs that is still standing. The image still stands there today.

    On June 30, 1520, Montezuma II passed away. Considered the greatest leader all aztecs were really sad. After Montezuma died of murder at 54 years old mostly all aztecs flead. Now there are not nearly as many aztecs as there was and most of them left after Montezuma died. Hernan Cortes murdered him.
